PLAENT Firmware for FS3-1600

Please read the following message before your download the files.


The ZIP file contains the program that can act as a TFTP server providing the
file for its firmware.

The firmeare version in the ZIP are:

Hardware: N8606-1
Software: V.2.11  (07-01-99) 
Firmware: V.1.22A (10-23-98)

If your firmware is this one, you donot need to have your device updated.



*** Please refer to the following quick steps for how to make it.

1. Find a PC (Win95 or Win98 with an IP address) and extract the ZIP file in
the same directory.
2. Execute the program BURNMAC, and disable the MAC check.
3. Use Hyper Terminal to setup the option.
    Select Advanced Management -> Software Update -> Key in IP of the PC,
key in the file name "Fs31600.rom" (update the system code) -> press ESC and
proceed upgrade.
4. After reboot, use point 3 again and key in the file name
"java.planet.rom" if the file is in the latest compressed file to upgrade the Java code.
