Thanks for purchasing PLANET FGSW-2402VS(v2)/FGSW-2620VSF Web-Smart Ethernet Switch.
This document provides the firmware release note and history of the product

Firmware version: 1.1(Ver1.1b070209)
Hardware version: 1.0
Release on 2007/02/09 

This firmware provides the following modification:

A: Bug Fixed -

(1) No known issue

B. Function Added -
(1) Link Panel - Add the Switch Link Panel at the Main WEB screen, it helps the network manager to easy diagnastic the Port link status.

(2) IEEE 802.1Q VLAN supports - Support VLAN tag insertion and removal.After set the VLAN mode to 802.1q, teh switch will reboot to take affect.




Upgrade Requirements:

1. The latest firmware version of FGSW-2402VS(v2)/FGSW-2620VSF.
2. The FGSW-2404VS(v2)/FGSW-2620VSF.
3. Workstation with Microsoft IE 6.0 or above.
4. TFTP server.


Upgrade procedure:
1. Connect the RJ-45 UTP cable to the target switch
.
2. Login is required to access the WEB interface after the switch boot completes successfully. The factory default user name and password is "admin".

3. After Web main screen appeared, click the "Misc Operation"\" TFTP Firmware Update" at the left Menu.  

4. The screen will be direct to the "TFTP Firmware Update" page, enter the "TFTP Server IP" and filename with the correct firmware file.

5. Click "Apply" button to start the firmware upgrade procedure. Please don't power off the switch while procedure be started.

6. Please wait until the successful message shows in the Update Status field.

7. A message appears- "Do you want to activate new software?". Click the "Yes" button to apply the new firmware.

8. Please wait until the system reboot complete.

9. Relogin the switch via WEB browser. Please click the "Misc Operation' \ "System Information" to double check if the firmware be upgraded successfully.
