UBUNTU 8.04 

We suggest:
Install the Ubuntu 8.04 or Debian 5 on your own PC into the storage first, 
then, execute dpkg -i linux-image-2.6.28.8-vortex86dx_1.0_i386.deb (attached file)
then, take this storage on unit and please do below setting when use Linux.

When you install the storage on secondary IDE channel (only Secondary), please also modify the settings as follows.
1. Please switch IDE mode from LEGACY to NATIVE in BIOS settings. 
2. Turn off USB2, USB3 in BIOS settings as well.
