USB Installation notes
The USB driver supports the following
operating systems:
- Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or higher.
- Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4.
Windows XP:
Windows XP has a known problem with USB2.0.
In order for the driver to work properly
please install Microsoft's KB822603 patch.
The patch can be found here: KB822603 patch
Note:
Please make sure you download the patch for
the right operating system language.
Windows 2000:
USB2.0 Support in Win2K
You will need Windows 2000 Professional
with Service Pack 4 installed.
Check that you have USB 2.0 support as
follows:
- Go to My Computer right-click
properties.
- Select Hardware Tab and select
Device Manager.
- Expand Universal Serial Bus
Controllers.
- If you have a USB 2.0 Root Hub
entry in the list then you have USB2.0 installed... otherwise do the
following:
- Right-click on USB Enhance Host Controller and select
properties.
- Select the driver tab and press update driver button.
- Specify driver location from the installation CD at: Driver\Win2K\usb20
- Reboot your PC.
